Belmont community clinic with International Medical Relief
Our doctors, nurses and ambulance crew joined International Medical Relief volunteers for a free clinic day in Belmont.
Hurricane Melissa took the breadfruit, ackee and fruit trees that fed Western Jamaica's small farms. We are replanting them, farm by farm, with the families who own the land — and building the nursery, training and market that keep the harvest coming.

Each enrolled household receives around 50 climate-resilient food trees — breadfruit first, alongside breadnut, ackee, avocado, mango, coconut and cocoa — planted with hurricane-resistant spacing on land the family already holds.
Four training modules, field days and a lead-farmer network. Farmers join a group of about fifty that holds input stores, negotiates together and owns a share of the processing centre.
The Savanna-la-Mar aggregation and processing centre buys at a floor price and turns breadfruit into flour, chips and frozen product for hotels, schools, supermarkets and export.

Electricity is back and roofs are mending, but our children need joy. Help us provide free-to-air television antennas to reconnect rural families after Hurricane Melissa.
Our medical team joined Judy Mowatt Outreach Ministries at Bluefields with doctors, nurses, medicines and an ambulance on standby.
